Land rent is the answer to the horror in the Congo

Over a thousand women are raped every day in the Congo.  How can we stop it?

Those who discuss it usually despair - invading or giving money won't work. The discussion concludes that the only hope is to set up small communities where sanity prevails, such as the "City of Joy" - a refuge for women.

The only lasting solution is to create islands of good government and let those islands grow. Land rent is ideally suited for the purpose: it can be introduced in a single town, it creates wealth based on good government, and that wealth ensures it can expand.
